Indomitable is a skill that each of us is able to learn and develop. It is an important feature because it allows a person to face and overcome adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, and stressful situations.  Through their own actions, parents can help their child manage the stress, feelings of anxiety, and insecurity associated with difficult situations like this.

Discouragement is an invaluable feature at a time of change or crisis. An indomitable person can turn problems and failures into things to teach and nurture. This does not mean that an indomitable person will not suffer from the difficulties he faces. However, he is able to overcome difficulties by focusing on resolving them and adapting to changed circumstances.

Each of us is able to develop this skill, and it is worth teaching it to our own children as well. Discouragement requires certain types of behaviors, thought patterns, and actions that can be learned over time. 1. Emphasize the importance of human relationships

Teach your child how to create friendships in which empathy and understanding the other’s feelings play an important role. Encourage your child to be kind so they can find friends for themselves. Interpersonal relationships provide us with social support and strengthen our perseverance and indifference. Strong family ties support the child in times when he or she experiences disappointment and pain.

Helping others makes a child get over the feeling that he or she cannot do anything to help others. You can encourage your child to participate in volunteer work appropriate for their age. Also ask your child to help you with your household chores, which also benefits your child in many ways.

Maintaining and following routines creates security for the child as the child needs structure in his or her life. Routines are especially important for young children. It is therefore important to encourage the child to follow routines. 

4. Make sure that the child is not overloaded

Teach your child to focus on things that don’t bother him or her. It is important for parents to keep track of what the child is exposed to, whether it is news, social media publications or child-witnessed conversations. Parents need to make sure the child gets enough breaks from things that cause him or her discomfort and restlessness.

You can remind your child of previous situations that he or she coped with, even if they were difficult. Show the child that even after the most difficult things, a good future will come. A positive and optimistic attitude helps you see all the good that life has to offer and gives you confidence that life will carry you even in the most difficult times.

Difficult moments and adversities provide an opportunity for self-examination, self-understanding, and self-learning. Tell the child that what he or she has to go through now also reveals what he or she has been made of. In other words, you can show him how difficult times can reveal his true strengths and also develop them.
